Photography, Surfing, and Embarrassing Stories

Hello dear community,

It's hard to believe that it's been 2 months since we began creating this podcast. This week's episode is intended to bring laughter into your day - we're featuring embarrassing stories on our segment Poops or Oops. We also have one of our incredible staff, Nora, on the podcast, sharing stories from her experience of physical distancing.

One of Nora's big undertakings during physical distancing has been photographing families in Ucluelet, Tofino, and surrounding communities as part of the Front Door Project. She has volunteered to photograph over 400 families in the area, inviting those who are able to donate to the Tofino Ucluelet Culinary Guild, who provide fresh food boxes to families in need. One of her recent portraits features the staff of the Tofino Food Co-op - the very same co-op who sent her to YES Camp as a 13-year-old many years ago!

Here are a few photos of Nora over the years at camp!

We're looking forward to providing some more concrete updates about what to expect from The YES this summer as soon as we're able. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation.

As always, please feel welcome to reach out with any questions at 604-960-1377 or at info@theyes.ca
